Thailand has a tropical climate and 3 seasons. The rainy season is from May to October when the region is covered with heavy rain. Winter is from November to February and at this time there is mild, arid weather. And the heat wave, from March to May, is set by the intense heat, there is almost no rainfall, the temperature reaches 35 degrees by noon.
A tenth part of the territory of the kingdom is located on the islands.
Pattaya is created for recreation.
In Pattaya, there are only two parallel streets running along a quiet bay of the Gulf of Thailand.
They are connected by countless lanes, densely built up with hotels, restaurants, shops, beer and nightclubs for every taste and pocket. In the northern part of Pattaya, usually stay rich tourists, as luxury hotels are located there. In the central part there are concentration of stores, less expensive hotels and guesthouses. The southern part is a never ending succession of entertainment places.
Numerous Thai restaurants are a gourmet catch. The cuisine is notable for its richness, all kinds of spices and offers a variety of miscellaneous dishes, based on seafood, fish, crabs, shrimps, squids and so on. Everything is prepared with spices both in Thai and in continental recipes.
What to visit in Pattaya.

Botanical Garden Nongnuch
In the middle of last century, a family of Thai businessmen purchased this piece of land in the south of Pattaya for fruit plantations, but after traveling to Europe, Madame Nongnouch convinced her husband to break several gardens and parks instead of a mango grove in French, English and other styles. Later, the largest orchid collection in Thailand was added to the parks, as well as an ethnographic village, a spa hotel and restaurants. Since then, the Nongnuch garden has become one of the most popular holiday destinations in Pattaya.

Koh Lin Island
This is an island off the coast of Pattaya, which is seeded with colonies of small macaques. Monkeys have long been accustomed to people: when boats with tourists approach the island, macaques bravely jump into the water, hoping to profit by some kind of food. You can get here on the one of the pleasure boats, which all day long depart from the pier on the southern beaches of Jomtien.

Sukhavadi Palace
This is an extravagant six-floor palace, painted in shades of pink and green, surrounded by gardens with fountains and peacocks. This amazing building was built in 2000 by a local entrepreneur, Panya Choititawan.

Wat Yansangwararam
This giant complex of monasteries, 15 kilometers south of the city, was built in the 1970s under the patronage of King Rama IX. In addition to the temples, made in the traditional architectural styles of different regions of the Buddhist world, there is a park and a lake here.
Here you can visit one of the meditation lessons that monks spend every day. But it is worth bearing in mind that first of all it is not a tourist attraction, but the most important Buddhist sanctuary in this part of Thailand. Therefore, it is better not to come there in shorts, short skirts, sleeveless T-shirts.
